Human BMP And Activin Membrane Bound Inhibitor Homolog (BAMBI) ELISA Kit

BAMBI (BMP and Activin Membrane Bound Inhibitor) is a transmembrane pseudoreceptor of the TGF-β superfamily. Unlike canonical type I receptors, BAMBI lacks an intracellular serine/threonine kinase domain and instead acts as a competitive inhibitor that dampens BMP-2, BMP-4, BMP-7, and activin signaling. The Assay Genie ELISA Kit supports quantitative measurement of human BAMBI protein in cell lysates and tissue homogenates, and is applied to research on hepatic fibrosis, colorectal carcinoma progression, adipogenesis, and wound healing where altered BAMBI expression has been documented in the literature.

Each kit is supplied as a complete package including a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant human BAMBI standard protein, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, substrate solution, and stop reagent sufficient for 96 sample measurements run in duplicate with 100 µL of sample per well. Components should be stored refrigerated at 2-8 °C; the capture plate should be equilibrated to room temperature before running the assay.
