Human BMF/Bcl2 Modifying Factor ELISA Kit

Designed for research on BMF (Bcl2 Modifying Factor), a pro-apoptotic member of the Bcl-2 protein family, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is intended for use with human samples. BMF is a key regulator of apoptosis and cell survival pathways, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, autoimmune disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions.

The double-antibody sandwich assay uses colorimetric detection, with a reported sensitivity of 56.25 pg/mL and an assay range of 93.75-6000 pg/mL. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Reported linearity at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 was 81-100%, 81-100%, and 88-94% for serum; 82-98%, 82-97%, and 85-105% for EDTA plasma; and 85-100%, 87-101%, and 82-99% for heparin plasma (n=5 each). Recovery ranges were 86-103% (average 95%) for serum, 85-100% (average 93%) for EDTA plasma, and 85-105% (average 93%) for heparin plasma. The protocol involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, 60-minute detection antibody binding, 30-minute HRP-streptavidin binding, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.
