Human BLVRA/Biliverdin reductase A ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the quantitative detection of human BLVRA (Biliverdin Reductase A) in serum and plasma samples, using a colorimetric double-antibody method. BLVRA is an enzyme that converts biliverdin to bilirubin as part of the body's detoxification process, and its dysregulation has been implicated in liver disorders, hemolytic anemia, and oxidative stress-related conditions, giving the kit broad utility across cell biology research.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. In addition to serum and plasma, validated sample types include cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Unopened reagents are stable for 12 months when stored at 2–8°C.

The workflow involves equilibrating the TMB substrate to room temperature, incubating standards and samples on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes to allow antigen binding, adding a biotin-labeled detection antibody for 60 minutes at 37°C, binding HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes at 37°C, developing colour in the dark with TMB for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm immediately after adding the stop solution.
