Description

Designed for the quantitative detection of BIN1 in human samples, this sandwich double-antibody ELISA from Assay Genie employs a colorimetric TMB-based readout with absorbance measured at 450 nm. The assay is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types.

BIN1 (Myc Box-dependent Interacting Protein 1), also known as Amphiphysin II, Amphiphysin-like protein, Box-dependent myc-interacting protein 1, and Bridging integrator 1 (UniProt O00499), is a nucleocytoplasmic adaptor protein that interacts with the Myc Box and participates in cell proliferation and signalling pathways. Dysregulation of BIN1 has been implicated in cancer, Alzheimer's disease, and cardiovascular diseases, making it a biomarker of interest for developmental biology and disease research.

The kit offers a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a standard curve range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity has been demonstrated for serum (87–98% at 1:2, 82–99% at 1:4, 94–97% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (85–102%, 91–100%, 80–96%), and heparin plasma (91–103%, 82–100%, 82–96%) dilutions, with mean recovery of 92% in serum, 95% in EDTA plasma, and 93% in heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.
