Human BID/ BID ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human BID (BH3 Interacting Domain Death Agonist), a pro-apoptotic protein implicated in programmed cell death and studied in the context of cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and other conditions linked to dysregulated cell survival. The kit supports research into apoptosis mechanisms and the evaluation of potential therapeutic interventions.

The assay is configured for human reactivity and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It reports a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a measurable range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, with lyophilized standard and test strips additionally suitable for -20°C long-term storage.

Linearity for serum (n=5) spans 96-105% (1:2), 91-104% (1:4) and 89-102% (1:8); EDTA plasma (n=5) 87-101%, 82-99% and 90-101%; heparin plasma (n=5) 84-98%, 83-98% and 85-93%. Recovery averages 93% for serum (range 86-102%), 92% for EDTA plasma (range 87-102%) and 94% for heparin plasma (range 86-101%). The workflow uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin binding, TMB color development read at 450 nm, and incubation steps at 37°C.
