Human beta-NGF/Beta nerve growth factor ELISA Kit

A high-quality sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human beta-NGF (Beta Nerve Growth Factor). The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, offering a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL (1 ng = 1000 mIU).

The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with documented linearity and recovery performance across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma matrices. Reagents are provided for the complete workflow, including a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC), TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, wash buffer, plate sealer and a technical manual.

The procedure follows a standard sandwich ELISA workflow: equilibrate reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, load standards, samples and blanks, incubate at 37 °C for 90 minutes, add biotin-labelled detection antibody (37 °C, 60 min), add HRP-streptavidin (37 °C, 30 min), develop with TMB in the dark for 10–20 minutes, then stop and read absorbance at 450 nm. Components are stable for 12 months at 2–8 °C, with plates and standards also suitable for 12-month storage at –20 °C. Beta-NGF is a key neurotrophin involved in neuronal survival, differentiation and function, and is relevant to research in Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and peripheral neuropathy, making this kit a useful tool for studies of nerve growth factor biology and potential therapeutic interventions.
