Human Beta-klotho (KLB) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Beta-klotho (KLB), also referred to as Klotho beta-like protein. It is reactive with human samples and is intended for the analysis of serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Detection is colorimetric, and the kit supports research in metabolism, where Beta-klotho acts as a co-receptor involved in metabolic regulation.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 10pg/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 4.4% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Linearity across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 spans 88-116% for serum, 86-104% for EDTA plasma and 91-111% for heparin plasma. Recovery is reported at 98% (range 92-104%) for serum and 100% (range 94-106%) for plasma.

Beta-klotho is a single-pass type III membrane protein (UniProt Q86Z14) that contributes to the transcriptional repression of cholesterol 7-alpha-hydroxylase (CYP7A1) and enhances the ability of FGFR1 and FGFR4 to bind FGF21. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Beta-klotho and is for research use only.
