Human Beta-galactosidase (GLB1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Beta-galactosidase (GLB1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The kit is reactive with human samples and uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method. It shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Beta-galactosidase, supporting immunology research applications.

According to the manufacturer specifications, the assay has a detection range of 12.5-800pg/mL and a sensitivity of 7.8pg/mL. Reported precision values include an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and an inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Recovery has been characterised for serum (average 98%, range 92-104%) and plasma (average 100%, range 94-106%). Beta-galactosidase is an enzyme involved in the breakdown of lactose and other glycosides and is associated with lysosomal storage disorders and certain cancers, making accurate quantification relevant for studies of enzymatic activity and disease pathology.

Kit components include an ELISA microplate, lyophilised standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution and plate sealer. The kit is intended for research use only.
