Human Beta-defensin 129 (DEFB129) ELISA Kit

Developed by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Beta-defensin 129 (DEFB129). The colorimetric assay is reactive with human samples and intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It detects both natural and recombinant human Beta-defensin 129.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 7.8-500pg/ml and a sensitivity of 3.1pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 4.6% and inter-assay CV at 7.6%. Linearity was evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum ranging 104-112%, 102-111%, 108-118% and 100-109%; EDTA plasma ranging 93-103%, 106-117%, 102-113% and 97-108%; and heparin plasma ranging 96-105%, 94-103%, 104-114% and 103-114%. Recovery averaged 100% (range 94-106%) in serum and 102% (range 96-108%) in plasma.

DEFB129 is a secreted antimicrobial peptide with reported antibacterial activity, mapped to chromosome 20p13, and is relevant to research in microbiology and innate immunity. For research use only.
