Human Beta Crosslaps/beta-CTx ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this competitive ELISA is coated with antigen and intended for the quantitative determination of beta crosslaps (beta-CTx) in human samples, using a colorimetric detection method.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 75 pg/mL and an assay range of 125-8000 pg/mL. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was determined for serum (n=10) at 85-91%, 88-100% and 82-96%; for EDTA plasma (n=10) at 85-105%, 92-100% and 90-100%; and for heparin plasma (n=10) at 85-101%, 82-96% and 85-101%. Recovery was 87-101% (average 94%) for serum, 90-105% (average 95%) for EDTA plasma, and 88-102% (average 97%) for heparin plasma.

Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate and other liquid samples. The kit should be stored sealed at 2-8°C and not cryopreserved. The procedure calls for equilibrating TMB substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature, pre-washing the plate, adding 50 µL of standard or sample with 50 µL of biotin-labelled antibody per well followed by incubation at 37°C for 45 minutes, washing, TMB colour development in the dark at 37°C for 10-20 minutes, addition of stop solution, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
