Designed by Assay Genie for research use only, this Sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Beta-arrestin-1 (ARRB1), also referred to by the synonyms Arrestin beta-1, Non-visual arrestin-2 and ARR1. Beta-arrestin 1 is described as a key regulatory protein involved in G-protein-coupled receptor signaling, with roles in receptor desensitization and endocytosis. The kit has been validated for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is targeted at neuroscience research.

Manufacturer-reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL. The kit shows an intra-assay CV of 5.5% and an inter-assay CV of 8.1%. Linearity has been assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (N=5), and recovery testing reports averages of 101% for serum (range 95-107%) and 103% for plasma (range 97-109%).
