Human Beta-amyloid protein 42 (Beta-APP42) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise measurement of human Beta-amyloid protein 42 (Beta-APP42) levels in human biological samples. The assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant forms of the target. Beta-amyloid protein 42 is a critical component in Alzheimer's disease research, contributing to the amyloid plaques characteristic of this neurodegenerative disorder and exhibiting neurotoxic activity that shifts the bax/bcl-2 ratio in favour of pro-apoptotic bax.

The kit delivers a detection range of 7.8-500pg/mL with a sensitivity of 3.12 pg/mL. Precision is reported with an intra-assay CV of 4.7% and an inter-assay CV of 6.9%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, demonstrating reproducible performance across matrices. Recovery testing returned 97% (range 91-103) for serum and 99% (range 93-105) for plasma samples. The product is intended for research use only.
