From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human beta-actin (Beta actin) concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids, with reactivity to human samples including serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. Beta-actin is an essential structural protein involved in cell motility, maintaining cell shape, and supporting various cellular functions, and measuring its levels can provide insights into cell migration, differentiation, and overall cell health.

The kit uses a double antibody sandwich ELISA detection method and has a sensitivity of < 0.188 ng/ml and a range of 0.313-20 ng/ml. Recovery rates for spiked samples were 92-105% (average 99%) in serum (n=5), 90-105% (average 97%) in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 85-104% (average 95%) in heparin plasma (n=5). Linearity testing yielded ranges of 86-105%, 85-105%, and 88-93% at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions in serum; 86-99%, 88-100%, and 82-101% in EDTA plasma; and 80-96%, 84-95%, and 82-95% in UFH plasma. Intra-Assay CV is <8% and Inter-Assay CV is <10%.
