Beta-2 glycoprotein 1, also known as apolipoprotein H (UniProt P02749), is a secreted protein involved in lipid metabolism and blood coagulation. It binds to negatively charged substances such as heparin, phospholipids, and dextran sulfate, and may prevent activation of the intrinsic blood coagulation cascade. Abnormal levels have been associated with autoimmune disorders, thrombosis, and cardiovascular diseases.

The assay operates with a detection range of 0.78-50 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.33 ng/mL. Reported precision includes an intra-assay CV of 3.4% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%.
