Beta-1,3-Glucuronyltransferase 1 (B3GAT1), also known as CD57 or HNK-1, is a Golgi-resident glycosyltransferase that performs the terminal glucuronyl transfer in HNK-1 carbohydrate biosynthesis. This trisaccharide moiety decorates neural cell adhesion molecules, myelin-associated glycoprotein, and selectin ligands, influencing synaptic plasticity, axon pathfinding, and lymphocyte homing.

The Assay Genie B3GAT1 immunoassay enables quantitative protein profiling in human tissue homogenates and cell lysates, supporting neuroscience research into oligodendrocyte maturation, demyelinating disorders, and immune-cell phenotyping studies.
