Human BDH1/D-beta-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase mitochondrial ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie, this kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of BDH1 in human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. BDH1 (D-beta-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase, mitochondrial) is an enzyme involved in ketone body metabolism, and its dysregulation has been linked to metabolic disorders such as diabetes and obesity, making it a useful biomarker for research into these conditions.

Validated performance includes a detection range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL. Linearity in spiked serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma ranges were 83-105% across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions, and recovery in the same matrices averaged 94-100% (ranges 85-104%). The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, read at 450 nm after TMB color development. Kit components are stored at 2-8°C with a shelf life of 12 months.
