Human BCL-X/BCL2L1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human BCL-X/BCL2L1 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection and is supplied with a dismountable microplate, lyophilised standard, biotin-labelled antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, and the buffers, substrate and wash solution required to run the protocol. Storage is at 4 °C for 6 months, and the kit is intended for research use only.

BCL-x/BCL2L1 is a key regulator of apoptosis and plays a crucial role in maintaining cell survival and preventing excessive cell death; dysregulation has been linked to cancer, autoimmune disorders and neurodegenerative conditions. The assay reports a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/ml and a measuring range of 0.313–20 ng/ml. Spiked recovery in serum is 86–105% (average 98%), in EDTA plasma 85–101% (average 96%), and in UFH plasma 86–105% (average 92%). Linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilutions of spiked serum, EDTA plasma and UFH plasma, and precision is reported as intra-assay CV <8% and inter-assay CV <10%.
