Human B4GalT1 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS0290)

The Human B4GalT1 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of Beta-1,4-galactosyltransferase 1, a Golgi-resident glycosyltransferase that catalyzes the transfer of galactose from UDP-galactose to terminal N-acetylglucosamine residues on glycoproteins and glycolipids.

B4GalT1 supports lactose biosynthesis in mammary epithelial cells and contributes to N-glycan branching during normal protein maturation. Altered expression has been investigated in oncology research, particularly in studies of breast carcinoma glycosylation patterns and congenital disorders of glycosylation. The assay relies on a human-specific capture antibody validated for quantitative detection of human B4GALT1.

Each kit contains a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant B4GalT1 standard, and chromogenic substrate. The protocol uses a 100 µL sample volume per well.
