The Human B-Lymphocyte Chemoattractant 1 (BLC1) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie quantifies CXCL13 (also called BCA-1), the CXCR5-binding chemokine that directs B-lymphocyte trafficking into lymphoid follicles. Researchers studying germinal center organization, rheumatoid arthritis synovitis, neuroborreliosis, and CXCL13-driven lymphoma microenvironments use this microplate-based immunoassay to measure chemokine levels across multiple biological matrices. Each run uses 100 µL of diluted sample per well, with a detection range of 15.6 to 1000 pg/mL and a sensitivity below 9.4 pg/mL. The protocol includes a pre-coated plate, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash concentrate, diluent buffers, lyophilized standards, and TMB substrate. Unopened kit components should be kept refrigerated; bring all reagents to room temperature before pipetting, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the standards. The complete workflow typically completes within three to four hours, and the assay is calibrated for research use only with human-derived samples, showing no significant cross-reactivity with mouse or rat CXCL13 homologs.
