Quantitative measurement of soluble BAFF in human samples is supported by the Human B-Cell Activating Factor (BAFF) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie, a 96 assays format immunoassay that targets a TNF-family cytokine central to B-lymphocyte maturation and homeostasis. BAFF, also called BLyS or TNFSF13B, is secreted by monocytes, dendritic cells, neutrophils, and activated T cells, and sustains transitional and mature B-cell populations through BAFF-R, TACI, and BCMA receptor signaling. Dysregulated circulating BAFF has been documented in autoimmune conditions including systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, primary Sjögren's syndrome, and multiple sclerosis, and altered ligand expression has been reported in B-cell malignancies such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia and multiple myeloma.

This in vitro research-use-only kit is configured to quantify human BAFF across serum-derived matrices, plasma-derived matrices, tissue homogenate preparations, and other related human sample types. Investigators studying B-cell biology, autoantibody production, lymphoma biology, transplantation tolerance, and vaccine-induced humoral responses use BAFF quantification to stratify patient cohorts, monitor disease activity, and correlate ligand levels with clinical phenotypes. The kit is supplied with a capture-antibody-coated microplate along with reagents needed for standard curve generation and sample analysis, supporting integration into translational immunology workflows that span cytokine profiling, biomarker discovery, and longitudinal monitoring studies.

From Assay Genie, the kit is supplied with reagents and standards prepared for laboratory use. Upon receipt, store the kit refrigerated and equilibrate components to room temperature before running the assay. Each lot is accompanied by a quality-control data sheet describing lot-specific performance characteristics, and the kit is intended for qualified laboratory professionals working in immunology, rheumatology, hematology, or vaccine research environments.
