Human Axin-2 (AXIN2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Axin-2 (AXIN2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed for human samples. Detection is performed by a colorimetric method, and the assay is specific for both natural and recombinant human Axin-2 (also known as Axin-like protein, Axis inhibition protein 2, Conductin, and Axil).

Axin-2 acts as an inhibitor of the Wnt signaling pathway, down-regulating beta-catenin and probably facilitating the phosphorylation of beta-catenin and APC by GSK3B. Dysregulation of the Wnt pathway and Axin-2 expression has been implicated in cancer, Alzheimer's disease, and osteoporosis, supporting the value of this kit for research in cancer and related disease mechanisms.

The kit provides a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL. Precision values reported include an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 9.6%. Linearity has been demonstrated across dilution series in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Recovery in serum averaged 85% (range 80–91%) and in plasma averaged 87% (range 81–93%).
