Human Axin-1 (AXIN1) ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Axin-1 (AXIN1; also known as Axis inhibition protein 1 and hAxin), this is a sandwich ELISA kit with a colorimetric detection method, intended for research use only. The kit is reactive with human samples and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human Axin-1.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL. Precision data show an intra-assay CV of 4.8% and an inter-assay CV of 8.6%. Linearity has been evaluated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5): serum ranging from 84-118%, EDTA plasma from 86-120% and heparin plasma from 82-118% across the dilution series. Recovery has been measured in serum (average 108%, range 102-114%) and plasma (average 110%, range 104-116%).

Axin-1 is described as a key regulator of the Wnt signaling pathway and a component of the beta-catenin destruction complex required for modulating CTNNB1 levels, with Uniprot accession O15169. The kit is contextualised within a cancer research area, and the protein has been associated with subcellular localisation in the cytoplasm, nucleus and membrane.
