Human ATP Binding Cassette Transporter A1 (ABCA1) ELISA Kit

ABCA1 is a 2,261-amino-acid transmembrane transporter that mediates cellular cholesterol and phospholipid efflux to lipid-poor apolipoproteins such as apoA-I, the first committed step in nascent HDL biogenesis and reverse cholesterol transport. Because of this central role, the kit is used in studies of Tangier disease, familial HDL deficiency, atherosclerosis progression, macrophage lipid handling, hepatic lipid metabolism, and LXR/RXR pathway regulation.
