Human ATP-binding cassette sub-family B member 9 (ABCB9) ELISA Kit

The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human samples, with specificity toward natural and recombinant human ABCB9.

The kit reports a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 40.6pg/mL. Intra-assay precision is 5.0% CV and inter-assay precision is 6.3% CV. Linearity was demonstrated in serum (110-119% at 1:2, 93-102% at 1:4, 92-101% at 1:8, 102-113% at 1:16), EDTA plasma (105-116% at 1:2, 106-116% at 1:4, 108-118% at 1:8, 108-118% at 1:16) and heparin plasma (86-97% at 1:2, 94-104% at 1:4, 94-104% at 1:8, 107-119% at 1:16). Recovery ranges were 89-101% in serum (average 95%) and 91-103% in plasma (average 97%).

ABCB9 is described as an ATP-dependent low-affinity peptide transporter that translocates a broad spectrum of peptides from the cytosol to the lysosomal lumen, with a broad peptide length specificity from 6-mer up to at least 59-mer peptides and an optimum of 23-mers. It favors positively charged, aromatic or hydrophobic residues in the N- and C-terminal positions. The protein functions as a homodimer located at the lysosome membrane.
