Human ATOH1/Protein atonal homolog 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of ATOH1 (Protein atonal homolog 1) in human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method based on a double-antibody sandwich format and reports a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL with a working range of 0.781–50 ng/mL. ATOH1 is a basic helix-loop-helix transcription factor implicated in the development of sensory hair cells in the inner ear and in intestinal secretory lineage differentiation, and its dysregulation has been associated with hearing loss, balance disorders, neurodevelopmental disease, and colon cancer.

Reported linearity in serum (n=5) is 86–99% at 1:2, 88–104% at 1:4, and 90–104% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) is 83–100%, 85–98%, and 82–95%; heparin plasma (n=5) is 88–99%, 81–100%, and 80–95%. Recovery averages are 92% for serum (range 85–96%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 87–104%), and 95% for heparin plasma (range 89–101%). Kits should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months and are intended for research use only.
