Quantitative measurement of 5-aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide ribonucleotide formyltransferase/IMP cyclohydrolase (ATIC) in human research samples is supported by this enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit from Assay Genie. ATIC is a bifunctional enzyme that catalyzes the penultimate and final steps of de novo purine biosynthesis, and altered expression has been linked to methotrexate resistance in cancer chemotherapy, non-small cell lung cancer progression, and AICA-ribosiduria, a rare metabolic disorder caused by inherited ATIC mutations.

Each kit contains reagents for 96 Assays and is intended for in vitro research use only. Investigators working on folate pathway biology, antifolate drug response, or oncometabolism can apply this kit to evaluate ATIC protein levels across cell lysates and tissue homogenates.
