Description

Ataxia Telangiectasia Mutated (ATM) is a serine/threonine protein kinase that serves as a master regulator of the cellular DNA double-strand break response. Activated through autophosphorylation at Ser1981, ATM phosphorylates a broad network of substrates including p53, Chk2, BRCA1, and H2AX to coordinate cell cycle arrest, DNA repair, and apoptosis.

The Assay Genie Human ATM ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of ATM protein in human research samples, supporting investigations in DNA damage signaling, radiobiology, cancer biology, and neurodegeneration. Quantifying ATM protein levels by ELISA complements immunoblotting and kinase activity assays, allowing higher-throughput assessment of ATM expression across patient cohorts, cell lines, and treated samples.

The kit is configured for in vitro research use only, intended for laboratory investigation rather than diagnostic procedures. Researchers studying ATM pathway dysfunction, including radiosensitivity phenotypes, lymphoid malignancies, and ataxia-telangiectasia-related mechanisms, can apply this kit alongside phospho-specific antibodies and downstream DNA damage markers such as γH2AX.

Performed in standard microplate format, each kit provides reagents sufficient for multiple sample determinations using routine ELISA workflows. Researchers should refer to the enclosed product insert for current performance specifications, recommended sample preparation, and handling instructions appropriate to their assay conditions.
