Human Asporin (ASPN) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Asporin (ASPN) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Asporin is a secreted extracellular matrix small leucine-rich proteoglycan that negatively regulates periodontal ligament differentiation and mineralization, and acts as a critical regulator of TGF-beta in articular cartilage, with dysregulation linked to osteoarthritis susceptibility and intervertebral disc disease.

The assay uses a sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection and is specific for natural and recombinant human Asporin. Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL, a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, intra-assay CV of 4.1% and inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Linearity in serum across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions (n=5) spans 86-96%, 104-114%, 86-98% and 107-117% respectively, with EDTA plasma at 103-115%, 98-110%, 82-91% and 107-117%, and heparin plasma at 89-101%, 97-107%, 96-105% and 81-93%. Recovery averages 84% (range 80-90%) in serum and 86% (range 80-92%) in plasma.
