Human ARSA/Arylsulfatase A ELISA Kit

Designed for the accurate measurement of arylsulfatase A in human samples, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format and is intended for research into lysosomal storage disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. Arylsulfatase A is an enzyme that breaks down sulfatides, supporting normal myelin formation in the nervous system, and its dysregulation has been linked to metachromatic leukodystrophy.

The kit is reactive with human samples and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric via a sandwich ELISA double-antibody workflow, with absorbance read at 450 nm after TMB substrate development. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 has been validated in serum (85–101%), EDTA plasma (84–101%) and heparin plasma (82–97%). Recovery ranges from 85–105% across serum (average 97%), EDTA plasma (average 98%) and heparin plasma (average 91%). The protocol involves reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C, biotinylated detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin binding, TMB colour development, and a stop reaction read at 450 nm.
