Human ARRB1/Beta Arrestin 1 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed to quantify human Beta-arrestin 1 (ARRB1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Beta-arrestin 1 is a key regulator of G protein-coupled receptor signalling, modulating downstream pathways and cellular responses, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, inflammation, and cardiovascular disorders, supporting its use as a biomarker in cell biology research.

The kit uses a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich format with a reported sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Unopened kits are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Reported linearity for serum (n=5) is 86-105% at 1:2, 85-99% at 1:4 and 86-102% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma (n=5) it is 83-98%, 86-96% and 87-99%; and for heparin plasma (n=5) it is 90-98%, 87-100% and 80-85%. Mean recovery is 97% for serum (range 88-105%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 87-102%) and 90% for heparin plasma (range 86-95%).

The protocol involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
