Human Argininosuccinate synthase (ASS1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie with colorimetric detection, designed for the detection of human Argininosuccinate synthase (ASS1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay reports a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.056 ng/mL, with intra-assay CV of 4.6% and inter-assay CV of 6.9%.

Argininosuccinate synthase, also known as Citrulline--aspartate ligase or ASS, is a urea cycle enzyme involved in arginine biosynthesis. Its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, metabolic disorders and liver diseases, underlining its value as a biomarker for research. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human ASS1 and is supplied for research use only within the epigenetics research area.

Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (80–115%), EDTA plasma (80–108%) and heparin plasma (99–113%) across serial dilutions. Recovery averages 80% in serum (range 80–85%) and 81% in plasma (range 80–87%). The target protein corresponds to UniProt accession P00966.
