Description

A high quality sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of human Arginine decarboxylase (ADC), also known as Antizyme inhibitor 2 (AZIN2), ODC-paralogue, Ornithine decarboxylase-like protein, ARGDC, ODCP, and KIAA1945. The assay is intended for research use only and is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit specifically recognises natural and recombinant human Antizyme inhibitor 2 (UniProt Q96A70), an enzyme that decarboxylates L-arginine to agmatine and belongs to the Orn/Lys/Arg decarboxylase class-II family.

Performance characteristics reported by the manufacturer include a detection range of 0.78–50 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.36 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.5% and an inter-assay CV of 7.6%. Linearity has been validated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum (101–110%, 93–101%, 96–106%, 98–108%), EDTA plasma (110–120%, 104–114%, 99%, 95–108%) and heparin plasma (102–112%, 112–122%, 103–114%, 94–104%) samples (N=5). Spike-and-recovery values are 85% (range 80–91%) for serum and 87% (range 81–93%) for plasma.
