Human Arginase-1 (ARG1) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the measurement of Human Arginase-1 (ARG1) in human samples. The kit recognises natural and recombinant human Arginase-1 and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It is intended for research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 3.12-200 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 1 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is given as 6.1% CV and inter-assay precision as 9.8% CV. Spiked recovery averages 106% in serum (range 100-112%) and 108% in plasma (range 102-114%). Linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions spans 93-117% for serum, 82-122% for EDTA plasma and 94-113% for heparin plasma.

Arginase-1 (ARG1; liver-type arginase; type I arginase; UniProt P05089) is a 35 kDa homotrimeric cytosolic enzyme that catalyses the hydrolysis of arginine to ornithine and urea as part of the urea cycle. Inherited deficiency of the enzyme causes argininemia. The kit is associated with the Cell Biology research area.
