Human Arachidonate 15-lipoxygenase B (ALOX15B) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Arachidonate 15-lipoxygenase B (ALOX15B) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is intended for cardiovascular research applications. It has a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.098 ng/mL, and is specific for natural and recombinant human ALOX15B.

Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 4.2% and an inter-assay CV of 7.6%. Linearity was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16. Recovery for serum averaged 96% (range 90-102%) and for plasma averaged 98% (range 92-104%). ALOX15B is a non-heme iron-containing dioxygenase that catalyzes the stereo-specific peroxidation of free and esterified polyunsaturated fatty acids, converting arachidonic acid to 15S-hydroperoxyeicosatetraenoic acid (15S-HPETE) and acting on linoleic acid to produce 13-hydroxyoctadecadienoic acid (13-HPODE). The protein is predominantly cytosolic and becomes enriched at membranes upon calcium binding.
