Human Arachidonate 12-lipoxygenase, 12S-type (ALOX12) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of Human Arachidonate 12-lipoxygenase, 12S-type (ALOX12) in human samples. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human ALOX12.

ALOX12 is a non-heme iron-containing dioxygenase that plays a key role in the metabolism of arachidonic acid, generating bioactive lipid mediators involved in inflammation and immune response. Dysregulation of the enzyme has been linked to diseases including asthma, arthritis, and cancer. Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.098 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 3.6% and inter-assay CV at 7.2%.

Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16. Recovery averages 88% (range 82–94%) for serum and 90% (range 84–96%) for plasma. The kit is intended for research use only and is associated with the cardiovascular research area.
