Human Aquaporin-9 (AQP9) ELISA Kit

This sandwich-format ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Aquaporin-9 (AQP9) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay recognises natural and recombinant human Aquaporin-9 and uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.098 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and an inter-assay CV of 8.9%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions, and spike-recovery averages of 106% for serum and 108% for plasma have been reported. Aquaporin-9 is a multi-pass membrane channel protein belonging to the MIP/aquaporin family that mediates passage of water and a broad range of non-charged solutes including carbamides, polyols, purines, pyrimidines, urea and glycerol. Dysregulation of aquaporin-9 has been linked to liver and kidney disorders, making it a biomarker of research interest.
