Human Aquaporin-5 (AQP5) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of human Aquaporin-5 (AQP5), a water-specific channel protein implicated in the generation of saliva, tears, and pulmonary secretions. AQP5 dysregulation has been associated with pulmonary diseases, Sjögren's syndrome, and certain cancers, supporting its value as a research biomarker.

The assay is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and recognises both natural and recombinant human Aquaporin-5. Performance figures include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.074ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.7% and an inter-assay CV of 8.9%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with average recovery of 99% (range 93-105%) for serum and 101% (range 95-107%) for plasma.
