Human AQP4/Aquaporin-4 ELISA Kit

A double-antibody sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the precise measurement of AQP4 in human samples, with a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Aquaporin 4 is a key protein involved in regulating water transport in the brain, spinal cord, and eye tissues, and its dysregulation has been linked to neurological disorders including multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica, and brain edema, highlighting its importance as a potential biomarker for research into these conditions.

The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with reactivity restricted to human specimens. Assay performance was assessed through linearity and recovery experiments across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma matrices. All reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

The workflow uses a TMB substrate read at 450 nm and incorporates a biotinylated detection antibody together with HRP-streptavidin binding. The assay is associated with Uniprot entry P55087 and is intended for research use.
