Human Apolipoprotein O (APOO) ELISA Kit

Apolipoprotein O (APOO) is a 198-amino-acid protein encoded by a gene mapped to the Xp22.11 locus on the short arm of the human X chromosome. The protein carries an N-terminal mitochondrial targeting sequence and has been identified in high-density lipoprotein (HDL) fractions, where it has been investigated in relation to lipid metabolism, mitochondrial respiration, and pancreatic beta-cell insulin secretion. Published studies on APOO have linked altered expression to type 2 diabetes susceptibility, oxidative stress in vascular tissue, and HDL particle remodeling in patient cohorts.

The Assay Genie kit provides researchers with a quantitative immunoassay for measuring APOO concentrations in clinical and research specimens, supporting studies in metabolic and cardiovascular biology. Each kit is supplied with a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, lyophilized recombinant standards, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, TMB substrate, and wash and stop solutions. Unopened kits are shipped refrigerated and should be stored refrigerated, protected from light; reconstituted standards and diluted detection antibody remain stable for up to two weeks under refrigeration, while longer-term storage of aliquoted working solutions at -20 °C or below is recommended. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles of standards and prepared samples should be avoided to preserve antigen integrity.
