Human Apolipoprotein L1/APOL1 ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Human Apolipoprotein L1/APOL1 ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA employing a double antibody method with colorimetric detection, designed for the quantitative measurement of Apolipoprotein L1 (APOL1) in human samples. The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

With a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.781–50 ng/mL, the kit provides accurate quantification of APOL1, a protein involved in lipid metabolism and the regulation of cholesterol levels that has been linked to cardiovascular diseases including atherosclerosis and hypertension. The kit targets the APOL1 protein (UniProt O14791) and is intended for research in the metabolism area, supporting studies of disease pathogenesis and potential therapeutic strategies.

Components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC), TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, wash buffer, stop solution, and a plate sealer. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C with a shelf life of 12 months. The standard protocol involves incubation at 37°C for antigen binding, detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin binding, TMB color development in the dark, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm. Linearity and recovery have been demonstrated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.
