Human Apolipoprotein L1 (APOL1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of Apolipoprotein L1 (APOL1) in human samples using a colorimetric detection method. The kit supports research applications investigating APOL1, a secreted high-density lipoprotein-binding protein (Uniprot O14791) that participates in lipid exchange and transport throughout the body, including reverse cholesterol transport from peripheral cells to the liver. Recognised synonyms include Apolipoprotein L, Apolipoprotein L-I, Apo-L, ApoL-I, and APOL. Dysregulation of APOL1 has been linked to cardiovascular and kidney disorders, supporting its value as a biomarker in related research.

Validated for human reactivity, the assay accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, with specificity for both natural and recombinant human Apolipoprotein L1. The stated detection range is 0.78-50 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.23 ng/mL. Reported precision is an intra-assay CV of 4.7% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%.

Linearity in serum (N=5) was 94-94% at 1:2, 106-118% at 1:4, 106-116% at 1:8 and 108-118% at 1:16; in EDTA plasma (N=5) 95-105%, 89-97%, 90-100% and 81-94%; and in heparin plasma (N=5) 94-103%, 106-116%, 87-87% and 84-94%. Spike-and-recovery averaged 100% (range 94-106%) in serum and 102% (range 96-108%) in plasma. The product is labelled for research use only.
