Human Apolipoprotein E/Apo-E ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Apolipoprotein E (APOE) concentrations. It uses a colorimetric detection method with a double antibody sandwich format and is validated for use with serum and plasma samples, as well as a range of other biological fluids including urine, cerebrospinal fluid, cell culture supernatants, cell lysates, tissue homogenates, tissue lysates, and breast milk.

The kit detects APOE across a working range of 23.438–1500 ng/ml with a sensitivity of less than 14.063 ng/ml. Precision has been characterised with intra-assay CV below 8% and inter-assay CV below 10%. Reagents should be stored at 4°C, where components remain stable for six months. Apolipoprotein E is a secreted protein that mediates the binding, internalisation, and catabolism of lipoprotein particles, serving as a ligand for the LDL (apo B/E) receptor and for the specific apo-E receptor of hepatic tissues.
