Human Apolipoprotein C-II (APOC2) ELISA Kit

Validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, the kit recognises natural and recombinant human Apolipoprotein C-II. Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.78 ng/mL and a detection range of 3.12-200 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.6% and inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Linearity has been demonstrated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples at multiple dilutions, and recovery averages 99% for serum and 101% for plasma.

APOC2 is a secreted component of chylomicrons, VLDL, LDL and HDL in plasma, where it acts as an activator of lipoprotein lipase and plays an important role in triglyceride metabolism. Dysregulation of APOC2 has been linked to hypertriglyceridemia and increased cardiovascular risk.
