Description
From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the quantitative detection of human Apolipoprotein A-IV (APOA4) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric readout, and is positioned for research into lipid metabolism and related metabolic disorders such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.
Manufacturer-quoted performance figures include a sensitivity of 7.5 ng/mL and a detection range of 12.5-800 ng/mL. Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions (n=5) is 84-98% / 81-98% / 84-100% for serum, 85-104% / 90-101% / 82-94% for EDTA plasma, and 94-105% / 85-100% / 85-100% for heparin plasma. Recovery (n=5) is 85-99% (average 91%) for serum, 85-103% (average 96%) for EDTA plasma, and 87-104% (average 95%) for heparin plasma. Storage is at 2-8°C for 12 months. The Uniprot reference is P06727, with synonyms including ApoA4, Apolipoprotein A4, Apolipoprotein A-IV, Apo-AIV and ApoA-IV. The associated research area is cell biology.
The assay procedure uses a pre-coated plate, with primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, and TMB substrate development in the dark for 10-20 minutes. Absorbance is read at 450 nm immediately after adding stop solution.
