Human Apolipoprotein A-II (APOA2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Apolipoprotein A-II (APOA2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Apolipoprotein A-II.

The reported detection range is 0.312–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.151 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 5.6% CV and inter-assay precision is 10.6% CV. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (N=5) at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions with recoveries of 97–107%, 106–117%, 98–108% and 106–116% respectively; EDTA plasma (N=5) at 91–103%, 105–117%, 102–102% and 108–116%; and heparin plasma (N=5) at 85–94%, 101–110%, 112–122% and 82–92%. Spike-and-recovery testing reports an average recovery of 91% (range 85–97%) for serum and 93% (range 87–99%) for plasma.

Apolipoprotein A-II may stabilize HDL (high density lipoprotein) structure by its association with lipids and affect HDL metabolism, making the assay relevant to cardiovascular research. The protein is secreted and circulates as a monomer, a disulfide-linked homodimer, or a disulfide-linked heterodimer with APOD. The UniProt accession is P02652.
