API5 (Apoptosis Inhibitor 5), also called AAC-11 or FIF, is an anti-apoptotic nuclear protein that suppresses programmed cell death and is frequently overexpressed in tumor cells, making it relevant to oncology and cell survival research. This Assay Genie colorimetric ELISA supports quantitative measurement of human API5 in serum-derived and plasma-derived specimens using a pre-coated capture antibody plate, lyophilized standards, biotinylated detection reagent, and TMB substrate. The recommended sample volume is 100 uL per well, and the assay has been validated specifically for human samples with no significant cross-reactivity observed with rat or mouse analogues under standard conditions. Refrigerate all components and equilibrate reagents to room temperature before running the assay.
