Human APH-1A/Gamma-secretase subunit APH-1A ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of human Gamma-secretase subunit APH-1A. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. APH-1A is a vital component of the gamma-secretase complex, which plays a role in amyloid precursor protein processing and Notch signalling, and dysregulation of gamma-secretase activity has been implicated in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders.

According to the manufacturer, the kit provides a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a working range of 1.563-100 ng/mL. Reported linearity at a 1:2 dilution is 86-100% in serum, 85-98% in EDTA plasma and 87-105% in heparin plasma. Recovery averages are 97% for serum, 95% for EDTA plasma and 95% for heparin plasma. The procedure uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody with HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
