Human APEX Nuclease 1 (APEX1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's APEX1 immunoassay enables researchers to quantify human apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease 1 (also called APE1 or HAP1) in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. APEX1 is a linchpin of base excision repair and simultaneously acts as a redox co-activator for transcription factors such as NF-κB and HIF-1α, so its expression is monitored in studies of genotoxic stress, tumor biology, and neurodegeneration.

Each kit ships as a 96-assay microplate with pre-coated capture antibody, biotinylated detection reagent, recombinant human APEX1 standards, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution. After immunocapture and signal amplification, absorbance values are read against the standard curve to determine sample concentration.

APEX1 abundance has been correlated with chemoresistance in lung, ovarian, and colorectal cancers, and the assay is calibrated specifically for the human protein. Reagents require refrigerated storage and are intended for research use only in laboratory ELISA workflows.
