The Human Apelin PharmaGenie ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is a competitive immunoassay for quantitative measurement of endogenous apelin peptide in human research samples. Apelin is the endogenous ligand for the APJ receptor (APLNR), a G protein-coupled receptor that shares partial sequence homology with the angiotensin II AT1 receptor. The preproprotein is processed into bioactive C-terminal fragments, including Apelin-13, Apelin-17, and Apelin-36, which have been implicated in cardiovascular regulation, angiogenesis, insulin sensitivity, and fluid homeostasis.

This kit is supplied in a microplate format and is validated for use with cell culture supernatants and serum samples.
