Human Apelin 13 ELISA Kit

A competitive ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Apelin-13 in human samples. The kit is reactive with human samples and validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, with a reported sensitivity of 75 pg/mL and a standard range of 125–8000 pg/mL. The kit is intended for research applications including studies of cardiovascular function, metabolic processes, inflammation, angiogenesis and vasodilation, and is catalogued under the research area of Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling. Linearity was assessed across dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8) for serum (86–102%, 92–101%, 89–103%), EDTA plasma (85–99%, 87–97%, 85–100%) and heparin plasma (85–100%, 82–99%, 85–96%), each with n = 10. Recovery ranges were 85–103% for serum (average 96%), 85–104% for EDTA plasma (average 99%) and 89–104% for heparin plasma (average 98%). The assay uses a biotin-labeled antibody and HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC) with TMB substrate, and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Components should be stored sealed at 2–8°C and not cryopreserved.
